Women Ambassadors Creating the Future of Wood Science
The Society of Wood Science and Technology (SWST) is committed to the field of wood science for the future. We are pleased to acknowledge “Women Ambassadors Creating the Future of Wood Science”. This will be a traveling SWST-sponsored exhibition designed to celebrate women ambassadors over time.
Ambassadors were announced in a news release on February 11, 2022 (International Day of Women and Girls in Science) and the first exhibition took place during the 2022 SWST International Convention in Kingscliff, Australia, July 10-15.
The display was unveiled at our opening ceremony and reception and continued to be highlighted during the week. The exhibition will now be traveling around the world and was featured at the 2023 SWST International Convention in Asheville, North Carolina USA, and the 2024 SWST International Convention in Portoroz, Slovenia, as well as being available for downloading and printing at individual institutions.
New ambassadors will be selected and featured at our 2025 SWST International Convention in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. (SWST_Nomination_Form_2025)
