SWST 49th Annual Convention

The 2006 SWST Annual Convention took place on Sunday, June 25, 2006 in Newport Beach, California, at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. There were two concurrent technical sessions in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30

• Session I: The Effect of Decay on the Performance of Wood Buildings Under Earthquake Loading and How We Might Improve Performance

• Session II: The Role of Utilization Research in Hazardous Fuels Reduction

and two concurrent technical sessions in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00

• Session III: The Aftermath of Katrina: The Wood Products Industry Response

• Session IV: Moisture in Wood: Problem for Housing and Wood Construction

An Awards Presentation, business meeting, and lunch took place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Awards which were presented:
