Student Poster Winners 2002
The 2002 Student Poster Competition was held on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Monona Terrace Conventional Hotel, Madison, Wisconsin. Judges for the Competition were: Bruce Cutter, Steve Verrill, and Robert Meyer.
The winners were:
First Place - $250 - Awarded to: Iris Vazquez-Cooz, SUNY-ESF, Syracuse, New York.
for her poster "A Differential Staining Method to Identify Libriform Fibers and Their Lignification in Normal and Tension Wood of Red and Sugar Maple."
Second Place - $125 - Awarded to: Patrick Rappold, SUNY-ESF, Syracuse, New York.
for his poster "An Investigation of the Relationship Between Harvest Season, Log Age, and Drying Schedule on the Coloration of Hard Maple Lumber."
