An Abstract is required for all poster and oral presentations.  Abstract submission opens January 15, 2019.  Go to the link below to submit your abstract!

Proceedings Guidelines (Submission of full papers are OPTIONAL)

All oral and poster presentations MAY submit a 4-8 page technical paper (due August 1, 2019). It is not required to submit the full paper, and if one is not received, your abstract will be used in the Proceedings.

All papers must be submitted in electronic format (Microsoft Word for text; TIFF or JPEG for figures) through the Ex Ordo system where you registered and submitted your abstract.  Proceedings will be published on a USB to be given to all International Convention attendees. Proceedings will also be electronically published on the SWST website after the convention.

Poster Guidelines

The Technical Poster Session and Student Poster Competition will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 16:00 to 19:00 in Salons 4 and 5 at Tenaya Lodge.

PLEASE NOTE POSTER SIZE

Poster dimensions – Usable size 838.2 mm (33 inches) wide by 762 mm (30 inches) high

Poster Session authors can mount their posters anytime starting Monday, October 21 and must remove after the Poster Session on Tuesday evening.

Posters must meet predefined size specification.

Posters should be designed accordingly with clear diagrams and text that can be read from a distance of 1.5 m.

The posters will be affixed to the panel by magnetic tape which will be supplied.  POSTERS MUST BE ON FLEXIBLE PAPER SO THEY CAN BE TAPED.  NO HARD BOARDS.

All Poster presentations MAY submit a 4-8 page technical paper (due August 1, 2018, via the Ex Ordo system) to be published by SWST in a Proceedings USB given to all International Convention attendees, and then electronically published on the SWST web site.  See Proceedings Guidelines above.

Presenter Deadlines

15th January, 2019:  Call for abstracts out

31st January 2019 : Early registration opens

15th March 2019: Abstract submission closes

15th April 2019: Authors chosen by session chairs and notified

1st May 2019: Authors responses back to SWST for inclusion in program

1st May 2019:   Student Poster Competition Abstracts, and Student Travel Grant applications submission  closes

15th May 2019: Program will be settled

15th May 2019: Travel grant awardees notified

15th July 2019: Early registration closes

1st August 2019:  Full papers due for proceedings – All oral and poster presentations may submit a 4-8 page technical paper  via Ex Ordo system to be published by SWST in a Proceedings (USB) given to all International Convention attendees, and then electronically published via the internet on the SWST webpage.  See guidelines for preparation and formatting of proceedings papers above.

1st August 2019:  Biographical information and .jpg format photo for oral and poster presenters due to https://swst2019convention.exordo.com

15th September 2019 : Online registration closes – Prices increased for onsite registration

15th September 2019: Room block at Tenaya Lodge is released and rates not guaranteed

1st October 2019:  PowerPoint presentations for oral presenters and PDFs of posters uploaded to https://swst2019convention.exordo.com
