St. Bernardin Resort with its Grand Hotel Bernardin, Slovenia´s premiere convention hotel, is located right next to the sea, along the popular seaside promenade between Portorož and Piran.  Each of the rooms boast five-star modern interior and a spectacular sea-view.  We will be using 3 of the properties The Resort offers:  Grand Hotel Bernardin (5*), Hotel Histrion (4*), and Hotel Vile Park (3*).   All are within a few minutes walk from each other.  The meeting space is located in the Grand Hotel Bernardin hotel.

• Grand Hotel Bernardin:

Set in Portorož, right on the seacoast. It features a private beach and the Paradise Spa Wellness Centre with an indoor pool, hot tubs, saunas, solarium and a beauty salon. 2 gourmet restaurants are located on site, while the sports facilities include tennis courts and a fitness centre.  All rooms at Grand Hotel Bernardin are fitted with air-conditioning and offer views of the sea. Cable TV, radio and direct dial phone is available in each room, as well as a minibar and free Wi-Fi connection.  The à-la-carte restaurants Pečina and Sunset are famous for their innovative approach to the Mediterranean cuisine. They offer a variety of local specialties and provide a terrace with a unique view of the Adriatic Sea.  The hotel complex also includes several cafe bars, a piano bar, a spacious terrace and a large convention centre. Guests can park for free at the hotel’s private parking lot.

 

• Hotel Histrion:

Hotel Histrion is located by the former church of St. Bernardin. It has comfortably furnished rooms and apartments with balconies overlooking the sea or the lagoon. The hotel has direct access to the indoor pools of the Laguna Water Park and to the wellness, which includes saunas, various massages and beauty treatments. The hotel also features the Casino Bernardin, a children’s playground and a mini club.  Hotel guests can use the hotel parking free of charge.

 

• Hotel Vile Park:

Hotel Vile Park comprising four villas is located within the site of Hotel Histrion, just a couple of steps from the sea. It offers a private beach, an outdoor pool and access to the indoor pools of the Hotel Histrion. Rooms of the Vile Park Hotel are built around the ruins of the bell tower of the St. Bernardin church; some of them offer a balcony. The hotel also features a children’s playground and a mini club. Small pets are welcome in the hotel.  Hotel guests can use the hotel parking free of charge.

 

The centre of Portorož can be reached in 1.5 km, while the town of Piran is 2 km away. Airport near Pula is 90 km away, while Ljubljana Airport can be reached in 140 km.

Limited Student Accommodations

University of Primorska student dormitory (ŠD Korotan) have limited availability and a few room options.  Rooms will be ready on June 30 but only after 18:00.  The price for a double room at ŠD Korotan is 80.00 eur (min. 2 nights) and for a triple room 102.00 eur (min. 2 nights).
