Parallel to the Friday SWST session is presentations from the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations, Forest Products Marketing and Business Management Research Group. The theme of the day is “Forest Products and Communities.” A team of three has organized the day, chaired by Paul Dargusch of University of Queensland. Rajat Panwar, University of British Columbia and Chris Gaston University of British Columbia/FP Innovations round out the team.
The day will begin with a framing keynote presentation by Rajat Panwar and Rob Kozak, University of British Columbia. The remainder of the day will include 18 different presentations with topics such as: GIS applications in marketing, supply chain mapping, lean thinking, illegal timber trade, and consumer reactions to wood in the built environment.
