This year, we have two student recipients for our Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM). One of them is Michelle Balasso, a PhD student from the University of Tasmania (Australia).

Here is an article about Balasso from InnoRenew blog:

During her two week stay at InnoRenew CoE, Michelle worked with the institutes researchers to evaluate the mechanical properties of densified wood made from species, native to Australia and  Tasmania.

“In this institution, I found a nice environment.,” said Michelle in a video the InnoRenew CoE prepared. “All researchers are collaborating, and they know what they are doing. They have a vision and they are going towards that.”

Get to know more about why Michelle came to visit Slovenia and the InnoRenew CoE as well as details about her research topic by watching the full video here.
