Wayan Darmawan of Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia moderates a session titled: Wood quality and improvement. Topics include cutting tools through terrestrial laser scanning, each with a focus on quality improvements. Speakers hail from Turkey, Norway, Canada, and Indonesia.
Jean-Michel Leban moderates the second half-day session of the convention, titled: Fiber properties chain: from cell wall to end products. This is perhaps the broadest session of the Convention in terms of topics and includes presentations on bending properties of bamboo, tannin-based foams, and nanofibrillated cellulose, among others.
Dodi Nindaka of Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia moderates a session titled: Treatments and durability. Topics include non-destructive detection and monitoring, effects of treatment on bending strength, and fire retardants.
